Shadow Moss Caves have always had a bit of a party atmosphere, don't get me wrong. But the party, the party, absolutely didn't start until Mlemmy came onto the scene. Anyone will tell you, before this odd little axolotl started making a name for themselves throughout the labyrinth of stone and glowing fungal outcroppings within the caves, Shadow Moss was jiving, but it wasn't bumping, youknowwhatImean?
Born deep in the deepest pools of Shadow Moss Caves, Mlemmy has never left his subterranean home - but that doesn't mean that he doesn't keep his toes on the pulse of the Valley and parts beyond. After all, the never-ending party that is Shadow Moss Caves isn't going to keep itself stocked in delicious snacks, tasty beverages, and a host of other goods and services besides! Growing up in the endless dark and dancing shadows gave Mlemmy a chance to explore far more of the cave networks than many had before, and learn the ins and outs of the fungal connections that the Cave residents use to transmit all sorts of things throughout the tunnels. And some of their deepest roots led him to the most unexpected of places.
Of course every creature knows that travel over the ridges of the southwest Crescent Mountains is forbidden. But none of those rules say that you cannot pass under the mountains, and that was just what Mlemmy did, coming out into the howling chill of the bitter White Plateau. That might have been the end of it, if fate hadn't drawn the younger creature to the same crack in the cold rock as a huddled group of haggard creatures that Mlemmy knew were not mere travelers down from the sunny southern slopes. Teeth bared and fangs snarled, but Mlemmy knew an opportunity when they saw one.
And so the endless party of the Caves goes on, the beat thumping and the creatures howling in song. And through it all flits Mlemmy, easy as you please, always happy to provide whatever might be looked for. Maybe that's fresh berries from down in Luna Valley, perhaps its stranger goods from 'sources' that he keeps vague and close to his chest, but whatever the Caves need, Mlemmy will see that they get.
